Why I started this

I've never been the most social person, I generally dislike the idea of going outside, when I had an old laptop I wanted to get the fan repaired on, instead of doing it myself as it wasn't something I wanted done urgently I wanted to look for an option to mail in or collect to get repaired.
All I found was call in, I couldn't be arsed walking into town with a laptop, so I ordered the replacement fan and fixed it myself with the experience I already had and realised that why don't I use that experience and fill the void in the market?
Thus, 061tech was born.

How I work

I'm not here to sell you things you don't need. If your computer can be fixed cheaply, I'll tell you. If it's not worth fixing, I'll tell you that too. No upselling, no jargon, no surprises on the bill.

Every repair is done properly - quality parts, thorough testing, honest communication throughout. I treat your computer like I'd want mine treated.

What I won't do

I believe in being upfront about limitations:

• Apple/Mac repairs - I focus on Windows PCs and laptops. For Macs, you're better off with an Apple specialist.
• Data recovery from encrypted drives - If your drive is encrypted and you've lost the key, there's nothing I or anyone else can do.
• Repairs that aren't worth it - If a repair would cost more than the device is worth, I'll tell you honestly.

The name

061 is Limerick's area code. Simple, local, memorable. That's the idea.
